Check City recently celebrated the 18th annual Warm Hearts Coat Drive, collecting over 1,000 warm clothing items to support Utah families in need through The Road Home shelter.
SALT LAKE CITY, UT — Every November, Check City puts on the annual Check City Warm Hearts Coat Drive to help keep families warm in the winter. This year was Check City’s 18th year doing the Warm Hearts Coat Drive at our Utah store locations.
During the Warm Hearts Coat Drive, Check City stores across Utah, from Logan to St. George, collected warm coats, sweaters, and blankets to donate to The Road Home, an organization that provides shelter and resources to families in need here in Utah. You can donate to the Road Home shelter or reach out to them to see how you can help today.
The Check City Warm Hearts Coat Drive gathers donations of warm coats, sweaters, blankets, and other warm things to give to The Road Home shelter, so they can help keep families warm during the colder months.
This year Check City’s Warm Hearts Coat Drive was once again, a huge success! This year we collected an estimated 1,000 warm donation items from our generous customers, including coats, jackets, sweaters, blankets, and other cold-weather clothing. We then deliver the donated items to The Road Home, specifically the Pamela Atkinson Resource Center. After Check City delivered the donations, our employees then stayed to volunteer their time and help serve lunch to the guests there. All in all, the coat drive this year was a wonderful success, a great experience, and a heart-warming opportunity to help serve the families in our community this winter.
